I was not planning to include this blade but I’ve had a last minute change of heart. This one taught me a lot and opened the door to some variations which I look forward to exploring further. This was not planned as a full grind blade and so the deferential hardening line from the edge quench has created a “hamon” like effect. Most of the copper and bronze was lost in the shift to full grind but the sparse composition is still pleasing. The ring goes through the blade, while the other elements are on the surface.

The handle is Palo Santo which has already darkened since these photos were taken. I don’t know this wood well, but I would guess it will be nearly black before long.
