Kintsugi 200mm Nakiri

Kintsugi 200mm Nakiri
This large Nakiri, fractured apart and reconstructed with bronze, represents the core concept of the work I have been focused on this year. You can read more on my blog.
The blade is 52100 steel and the handle is Blackwood. The signature is set in tin-silver.
Blade length: 200mm
Height: 66mm
Thickness at handle: 4.2mm
Thickness at midpoint: 3.3mm
Thickness above tip: 2.4mm
Weight: 356g
This work is experimental and ambitious by nature. There are likely to be some small pinholes in the soft metals. And yes, they are very soft. They will scratch very easily but I believe that they can be used with care, like other precision knives.
I am happy to say that I have been selling knives made with these methods for 6 months and so far, no one has reported a problem.
But, If you purchase one of these blades and experience something that you were not expecting, please contact me. I am committed to working with each customer to ensure their satisfaction. While a refund is an option (within a reasonable timeframe) I would greatly appreciate if those buying these knives would go into it with a willingness to consider first repair, second replacement and only as a last resort, a full refund.
As usual, this knife is sold by lottery. Please enter you email below to be entered in the drawing to buy this knife for the listed price. The drawing will take place Sunday, April 19th.
