A very tall blade that will appeal to a select few. The etching of the pure iron is not as even as I would like but the appearance of the motif is excellent and I have decided to leave it be. The subtlety of the light and shadow across the various metals is impossible to capture but hopefully the photos will give some idea.

Materials:

W2 core clad in pure iron. Motif is wrought iron set in brass and Tin. Handle is Macassar Ebony and Brass spacer.

Handle installation is with natural sealing wax.

This work is experimental. There are likely to be some small pinholes in the soft metals. And yes, they are very soft. They will scratch very easily but I believe that they can be used with care, like you might use a Honyaki.
